SIGMA Chemnitz GmbH worked on an example of optimized charging of batteries for electric cars, taking into account a wide range of variable input variables and parameters. These are, for example, current weather, weather forecast for the next few days, expected or planned trips and destinations of our company cars, driving behavior, output of our in-house solar system and more with the help of self-learning algorithms.
In addition to the controllable wallbox, hardware platforms with NXP i.MX8M Mini and Windows 10 IoT Core, Raspberry Pi 3B and 4 under Linux were used as hardware and software.
A locally running version of ML.NET is used as the AI.
